Tech Mahindra started in 1986 as a joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra and British Telecommunications.

The Genesis of the Tech Mahindra Logo (1986 – 2006)
Tech Mahindra used to be called Mahindra British Telecom, as it came into existence as a joint venture between Mahindra and Mahindra Group and British Telecom. However, there is no documented logo of the period.
(2006 – 2013)
The Tech Mahindra logo featured the letters “t” and “m” (in grey and red, respectively) intertwined to show a deep connection between technology and the Mahindra Group. Besides, the wordmarks “Tech” and “Mahindra” in grey are written in two levels and in a font, the sharpness of which is symbolic of the cutting-edge technology the company operates.
(2009 – 2013)
This logo came out of a messy moment — when Satyam Computer Services, then caught in one of India’s biggest corporate scandals, merged with Tech Mahindra to become Mahindra Satyam.
The design reflected the rescue: Satyam’s name in italicised red title case, paired with the Mahindra Group’s own mark to lend it credibility. That mark was the “Road Ahead” — a stylised “M” built from three upward-sloping lines, sitting beside the Group’s bold grey wordmark.
(2013 – 2025)
The 2013 logo dropped the emblem entirely and let the wordmark carry the weight. “Tech” on top in grey, “Mahindra” below in red — a custom font with mild serifs and rounded edges.
(2025 – Present)
On its 39th anniversary, Tech Mahindra rolled out a new identity — a red lozenge alongside the wordmark. It traces back to the Mahindra Group’s “Rise” beam, though here it’s been sharpened into something more geometric.
