The Genesis of the Tech Mahindra Logo (1986 – 2006)
Tech Mahindra used to be called Mahindra British Telecom, as it came into existence as a joint venture between Mahindra and Mahindra Group and British Telecom. However, there is no documented logo of the period.
(2006 – 2013)
The Tech Mahindra logo featured the letters “t” and “m” (in grey and red, respectively) intertwined to show a deep connection between technology and the Mahindra Group. Besides, the wordmarks “Tech” and “Mahindra” in grey are written in two levels and in a font, the sharpness of which is symbolic of the cutting-edge technology the company operates.

(2009 – 2013)
The logo came about when the IT major, but a fledgling one, Satyam Computer Services, merged with Tech Mahindra to form Mahindra Satyam. It featured the iconic Mahindra Group’s logo and the italicised wordmark “Satyam” in red and in a title case. The Mahindra Group’s logo, on the other hand, comprised a stylised letter “M” in red and the bold grey wordmark in a custom typeface. The letter “M” was depicted using three upward-sloping lines and was called the “Road Ahead”.

(2013 – 2025)
The 2013 logo variant of Tech Mahindra featured a wordmark in two levels and in two colours. Written in a fully customised font having mild serifs and rounded edges, the logo portrayed a structured, classic, and sophisticated feel. The word “Tech” in the upper level is written in a grey colour shade, while the word “Mahindra” below is written in a vibrant red shade.

(2025 – Present)
Tech Mahindra launched a new brand identity on its 39th anniversary. It featured a “lozenge” symbol in red along with the Tech Mahindra wordmark. The “lozenge” symbol is supposedly a dynamic interpretation of the iconic “Rise” beam of the Mahindra Group. The symbol represents focused energy, ambition, and precision. According to the Mahindra Group, the refreshed identity honours its roots as well as shapes a bold, connected, and resilient future.
