The Genesis of the JD Technology Logo (2013 – 2018)
JD Technology began its journey as the financial services arm of JD.com called JD Finance. The logo featured the dog mascot of JD.com called “Joy”. It was followed by the brand name JD Finance in two levels in red. The top level showed the name in Chinese, while the English version was featured below. The English lettering in a title case showed the group’s corporate aesthetic in a sans-serif typeface.
(2018 – 2021)
In November 2018, JD Finance was rebranded as JD Digits to reflect the company’s foray into delivering a range of digital technology services beyond finance. The logo featured the abbreviation “JDD” in both English and Chinese. The English version in blue uppercase had the letters of the abbreviation coupled in a sleek, tech-oriented design. The top of the first two letters was fused, and the third “D” was placed closely after without any vertical bar. In fact, the third letter “D” was made of blue and white swooshes. (2021 – Present)
In May 2021, the official brand name “JD Finance” was changed to “JD Technology”. In other words, Jingdong Digits Technology Holding Co., Ltd, or JD Digits, was officially renamed as Jingdong Technology Holding Co., Ltd, or JD Technology.
The logo featured the abbreviation “JDT” in white uppercase against a red square background or in a combination of red and black against a white background. The proprietary font used to render the abbreviation is called JD Lang Zheng, which is a rounded, geometric sans-serif typeface.

The three letters monogram and wordmark of the JD Technology logo are written using the JD Group’s proprietary “JD Lang Zheng” clean, geometric, and rounded sans-serif typeface. The letterforms in the logo are slightly condensed and have smooth curves and minimal strokes.
